You have 2 options on how to make this connection:

1. USB, 2. Bluetooth

USB Method

1. First and most importantly turn off your iPhone’s Wifi otherwise you wont see the Tethering options.
Settings>Wi-Fi>OFF

2. Turn on the tethering option. Settings>General>Network>Internet Tethering

3. Plug the 30 pin USB cable into your iPhone and Mac

5. On the left pane you look for iPhone USB. This might be Orange with No IP Address. To solve this turn off you Wi-Fi and this should turn green and the status will be Connected with an IP address

5. You need to Pair your iPhone now, Select ‘Set up Bluetooth Device..’ and follow the onscreen instruction from the Setup Assistant. Check your iPhone screen for further popup badge instructions.

MMS Messaging

1. On the home screen select Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network
2. Scroll down to MMS
3. Under the APN field type enter: mms.gibtele.com
4. Leave Username and Password fields blank
5. In the MMSC field type: http://mms:8081
6. For MMS Proxy type: 172.017.000.005:8080
7. then go ‘back’ by clicking Network to save the new settings
8. It is important to restart the phone at this point

Create a Gibraltar address iTunes account without a credit card

To create an iTunes App Store account without a credit card please follow the steps below. You can always add a Credit Card later.

1. Open iTunes on your computer
2. Select iTunes Store from the left panel
3. Select UK Store as Gibraltar does not currently have its own store.
4. Gibraltar residents please pick United Kingdom from the pop-up menu at the bottom of the iTunes Store homepage

Important: Before proceeding to the next step, you must purchase a free application by scrolling down to ‘Free Apps’ on the right. Choose any of the Free Applications and click one to open.

5. Click: Create new account.
6. Click Continue.
7. Important For Gibraltar residents please ensure your store is set to United Kingdom at the top of the window. If necessary change your store to the United Kingdom.
8. If you had to change your country pleasego back to step 3 and then continue from here.
9. You’ll need to read and agree to the iTunes terms and conditions, make sure you check the box next to where it says “I have read and agree to the iTunes Terms and Conditions.”
10. Click Continue.
11. Enter your email address, create your password, continue to create and answer your security question, then enter your birthday.
12. Click Continue
13. Select None as the payment option.
14. Continue to fill out the required name and address fields. IMPORTANT: With a Gibraltar account set city and county to Gibraltar and use the following post code: AA99 9AA
15. You’ll then see a screen that says ‘Verify your Account’.
16. Click Done and then check your email for a verification email from iTunes Store.
17. Open the email and click on the link enclosed in the email to activate your account.
18. Once you click on the link, iTunes should then prompt you to sign in with your account name and password.
19. You’ll then see the below “Congratulations” screen. Click Done to be taken to the App Store home page.
